Hemp-based building products offer sustainable, high-performance alternatives to conventional materials. Hempcrete is a bio-composite made from hemp hurd (the woody inner core for the stalk) and lime that can be used in both new construction and retrofitting existing buildings. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, highly insulating, fire and mold resistant, and carbon absorbing.
