Clifton Williams
Founded and led by Clifton Williams, lovingly known to the community as Cliff the Gardener, GrowUs LLC is a grassroots movement and emerging social enterprise with the audacious goal of ending homelessness in Minnesota and promoting environmental justice.
Mr. Williams is a justice-impacted Black/Indigenous community organizer and small business owner. He was an integral part of the urban farming movement in the Twin Cities and founder of the George Floyd Memorial Garden. Mr. Williams is a 2009 graduate of Dunwoody College's carpentry program and experienced Earthship designer and builder. He is also a BPI-certified weatherization trainer and a certified hempcrete installer and trainer.
His building experience includes 27 years in roofing; 24 years in foundation repair; 22 years in remodeling and new home construction; and 14 years in home weatherization.
